Wild Horse and Burro Program

Creative Breif

This project was put together for my Advertising Design class. The assignment was for us to take an organization that we were passionate about, update their logo, and create a video advertisement in correspondence with the organization. I chose to work on the The Bureau of Land Management’s Wild Horse and Burro Program. This program seeks to responsibly manage and preserve the iconic wild horse and burro populations across America’s public lands. Their mission is to ensure the welfare of these animals while maintaining ecological balance within their habitats. Through innovative management strategies, sustainable adoption programs, and community engagement, the Wild Horse and Burro program aims to secure a harmonious future for these creatures and the landscapes they call home.

Target audience: Equestrians, horse enthusiasts, animal lovers, farmers.

The problem: Wild horses are important to protect, but their population also needs to be controlled in humane and responsible way.

Solution: By putting mustangs up for adoption, along with using solutions such as birth control and sterilization on horses, the wild horse and burro population is able to be controlled.

Competitors: other non for-profit organizations, farmers, and horse smugglers.

This logo was inspired by the wild horses and the landscape that they live in, the hoofprint is uneven to resemble the hoofprints of wild horses.

Survey Q&A

I formulated a simple and short survey that asked a broad audience multiple questions regarding the wild mustangs in America. It was sent out to a variety of surveyors for the most unbiased results. And once I had enough replies I collected my data then created four general answers that the responses could be simplified into.
